On Aug. 18 and 19, 2016, my brother John and I returned to Mount Shasta in Northern California for a summer climb following the Clear Creek route on the mountain’s southeast side. On the previous day we stopped at Lassen Peak for a training and acclimation hike up to 10,457 foot high summit. Join us as John makes his 6th attempt to reach the 14,179 foot summit and I go for my 2nd summit and check my physical conditioning before heading to Mount Whitney in September.
