On the closing ceremony of Anti-Ragging Week 2025 at William Carey University on 18th August 2025, Shri Paramjit Singh Bakshi, Professor of Practice, delivered an insightful talk on the psychology behind why individuals engage in ragging. He explained how ragging is linked to some form of unacknowledged personal discontent and unhappiness.
Drawing upon research done by psychologists and quotes from achievers in business, sports and other fields he outlined the path to personal happiness and fulfillment which alone would prevent students from ragging others or making anyone else unhappy and miserable.
The Anti-Ragging Cell, along with the Grievance Redressal Cell of William Carey University, organized the closing ceremony to reinforce awareness and promote a safe, ragging-free campus.
