Barker Valley and Falls in the Cleveland National Forest in San Diego County located on Palomar Mountain. This is a strenuous trek with dangerous conditions and should plan accordingly. You can camp here and is a popular backpacking trail. This is one of the most remote places to hike and has alot of wildlife in the area so keep an eye out. The Large waterfall is a mile away from where the trail hits the river. This is the beginning of the San Luis Rey River which flows to Lake Henshaw through the La Jolla Indian Reservation and along the 76 highway before it empties into the Pacific Ocean at Oceanside Harbor.
