The Hilton Volume pedal is designed and built by Keith Hilton in Ozark, Missouri. The pedal was originally designed for pedal steel guitar players. In the past couple years it has become increasingly popular to be used by guitar players from professional to hobbyists.
Scott demonstrates the pedal and compares it to a Boss FV-50H, circa 1960s Fender volume pedal, and a Dunlop DVP1 on a Limited Edition Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb. After reviewing the good and the bad of each pedal, Scott demos the Hilton pedal used in a pedal board arrangement with other common effects like a MXR Phase 90, MXR Carbon Copy Delay, and Ibanez Tubescreamers modified by Analogman.
The Hilton pedal comes in 3 different models.
• Standard for Guitar: comes with tuner out option
• Standard for Steel: stereo out
• Low-profile: specifically made for pedal steel guitar players
