St Finbarr's Darragh Newman Joins Cork Senior Football Panel for 2026 Season | GAA News

St Finbarr's goalkeeper Darragh Newman has been called up to the Cork senior football panel for the 2026 season. Newman's outstanding club form, including the McCarthy Insurance Group Premier SFC win in October, has earned him this opportunity. He will compete for the No. 1 jersey alongside Micheál Aodh Martin and Patrick Doyle under manager John Cleary.
Newman's call-up comes after the departure of Chris Kelly, who was the first-choice goalkeeper for much of the 2024 season. Newman has been St Finbarr's No. 1 for three seasons, replacing John Kerins. His immediate focus remains on St Finbarr's, who face Clonmel Commercials in the AIB Munster Club SFC quarter-final.
Other notable call-ups include Naomh Abán forward Ed Myers, a consistent performer with the Cork U20s and his club, and Clonakilty's Conor Daly.
