The Colourful Coast - Whitehaven.

The Colourful Coast - also known as Whitehaven Coast is a stretch of coastline from Whitehaven Marina to St Bees on the west coast of Cumbria, part of the England Coastal Path and managed by The National Trust. Filled with stunning sea views and an abundance of history, join me for a walk along the Whitehaven end of this stretch of coastline. We will take a look at what remains of a few of Whitehaven's many coal mines and look at the site of a possible new one. We will see the clifftop former home of a famous author and take a walk along the top of one of the piers to see where a Coronation Street villain ended up in the Irish Sea!
