Kartik Aaryan on struggle, mom's cancer: My first film before Punchnama was SHELVED | Fans Festival

It's Kartik Aaron's birthday and he joined us for one of the episodes of The Galatta India Fans Festival with host Nayandeep Rakshit. While he's basking in the blockbuster success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is on its way to score 300 crores at the box office, and has already turned out to be his highest grossing film till date, this interview in front of fans felt very special and emotional. Being an outsider, Kartik's journey has not been easy and he's had to navigate through several turbulent times to reach where he's at today. But Kartik shares he still has the constant fear of losing everything if he doesn't consistently deliver - a fear that most actors with no godfathers would also relate with. While discussing his entire struggle period, Kartik speaks about the times when he used to skip college exams to give auditions, only to return rejected. In fact, not many know that much before Pyaar Ka Punchnaama happened, Kartik had actually signed another film that never got made. He also narrates the story of bagging Punchnama and how his mom had met Luv Ranjan and asked him to reject Kartik. From not having enough money to work, to now delivering a superhit with BB3, essaying a sensitive homosexual character in it, he speaks about it all.
