Shadow Attorney-General Andrew Wallace MP says the Prime Minister is misleading Australians by rejecting a single, all-encompassing Federal Royal Commission into the Bondi terror attack. Speaking on ABC Radio Canberra, Mr Wallace argues only a Commonwealth inquiry can properly examine the surge in antisemitism since October 7, 2023, along with failures across intelligence, policing, immigration, culture and national security. He says interim findings can be delivered within six months and rejects claims that a Royal Commission would delay urgent action, warning the Government cannot use process as an excuse for inaction.
