A Very Icy Bike Ride in the Peak District

Hello All. I planned this trip to the Peak District as my first proper trip out in my new campervan, with the aim of getting out on the bike for a ride and overnight wild camp. However, unfortunately my trip coincided with the cold snap that we had here in the UK, meaning that I spent as much of my ride pushing and sliding on the bike as I did actually riding anywhere. The slow progress combined with getting rather sweaty from all the pushing led me to the decision to abort the overnight camp and just head back to the van, a decision I cannot say I was too displeased with as I got the heating on and slowly began to thaw out. The following day I did attempt to drive over to the start point for a hike up Kinder Scout, the highest peak in the Peak District, but it was my vans turn to skid and slide down a hill (an experience far scarier than anything on the bike the previous day!), so it was at this point I decided to cut my loses and head home.

All in all I still really enjoyed the trip, and I am really loving the new van. The lack of overnight camp left the video a little short, but I hope you enjoy this slightly different vlog style video.
