There were rumors that the album would be called "Resurrection".

After Invincible, Michael started working on a new album, recording new songs but took a break due to the 2005 court cases.

He planned to release a new album in 2006/2007 but postponed it until 2009 because it would be better advertising if it coincided with the This Is It tour.

He spent the last moments of his life working on this album as well as working on the This Is It tour.

He didn't even name the album. The songs that would be on the album weren't definite. There was no album cover, the songs weren't in order, and there was no release date.

I placed the songs that we knew would be on the album and that we had quality recordings of in an order that sounded good. The album would probably be released in late 2009 or early 2010.
