🖐️🤖 *DIY Robotic Hand Controlled by Glove | Arduino Project from Recycled Toys!* ♻️⚙️
In this video, I turned a kids' toy hand into a fully functional robotic hand—controlled entirely by *my own hand movements* using a custom-made glove!
Using Arduino, servo motors, and DIY flex sensors, I created a responsive robotic hand that mimics each finger's movement in real time. And the best part? Most of the parts came from my kid’s toy box and household items!
🔧 Materials I used:
A plastic toy hand with 5 fingers (repurposed from my kid’s toys!)
2 Arduino boards (one for the glove, one for the robotic hand)
5 x 9g servo motors (one for each finger)
Nylon string for finger actuation
DIY flex sensors (I show you how to make these in the video!)
Wires, breadboards, jumper cables, and a whole lot of creativity
A glove for wearing the control sensors
🧠 How it works:
Each finger on the glove is equipped with a *DIY flex sensor*
As you bend your fingers, the flex sensor values are read by the Arduino
The data is sent to the robotic hand’s Arduino, which moves the corresponding servo motor
The *nylon strings* act like tendons, pulling each finger for a natural motion
