Follow Musician Gee on his travels around the world! After a bustling few days in Barcelona, it was time to slow down and head south and this Malaga travel vlog captures that shift perfectly. This video is the next chapter in my Spain travel series, taking you along as I journey from Barcelona to Malaga by train, explore the charming streets of this Andalusian city, check into a capsule hostel, and dive deep into the incredible Spanish tapas culture Malaga is famous for.

The train ride itself was relaxing, offering a beautiful transition from Catalunya’s energy to the laid-back vibe of southern Spain. Upon arriving at Estación de Málaga María Zambrano, I made my way through a modern shopping mall and grabbed a frozen yogurt a small, sweet moment before the real walking began. My journey to the hostel gave me my first authentic look at Malaga’s cityscape: palm-lined streets, cozy cafes, and warm, sunlit buildings that already felt different from Barcelona.

Checking into my $40 capsule hostel was a cool twist a minimalist, pod-style stay that’s perfect for budget travelers in Spain. I give you a full hostel tour, showing you what that kind of money gets you in a popular European beach city.

From there, the Malaga city exploration continues on foot, winding through narrow streets and uncovering little corners of the old town. But of course, no travel vlog in Spain is complete without tapas. I head into a local restaurant and sample a full spread: Aperol Spritz, Spanish green olives (Chupareros), Emandilla, fish balls, fried squid, and the dish everyone asks about authentic Spanish paella. Every bite tells a story of Andalusian tradition, and every sip is soaked in sunshine.

This isn’t just a vlog about food or walking around. It’s about arriving somewhere new and slowly discovering its personality through small experiences the way locals eat, the feel of a hostel bed after a long journey, the sound of evening chatter echoing through tight city streets.
