Round 2: Voith Power! | Lampton’s Voith VW1379 gets a ragging through West London on Route 120

Back to back Voith VW videos in quick succession👀. As hinted on in the description of the 81 video, it’s only right that I keep to my word and bring you guys the other Lampton route which is the 120. The 120 runs between Hounslow Bus Station & Northolt running via Hounslow Central, Lampton, Southall and Lady Margaret Road.

To be honest, on paper this route doesn’t look like a route for speeds at all. Before ticking this route off, I heard it was a busy route in terms of passenger numbers and traffic volume due to the areas it passes through as well as it being the only bus that runs along the full length of Lady Margaret Road connecting Southall and areas like Northolt and Greenford. However contrary to most people’s beliefs, I’d genuinely go as far to say this route was definitely more fun to film on than the 81. The bus in this video, VW1379, had more of a tuneful whirling sound when the bus was downshifted and was less stubborn in terms of the downshift trickery than that of one of its partners VW1382. On top of that, the twisty turny roads of the 120 made this all the more enjoyable, similar to that of a rollercoaster ride with the driver not holding back when taking the tight corners and bends!!
