Come with me to help our pregnancy scanner check our ewes. In order to give our sheep the best care possible, we scan them, then sort them into groups depending on their pregnancy status.
Non-pregnant (or "empty") ewes are removed from the flock and put in a different part of the farm so that they aren't competing with the pregnant ewes for food. Sometimes ewes carrying triplets are put together in a separate paddock in order to keep a closer eye on them and to ensure they have enough feed to sustain a triple pregnancy.
