This is the premiere of Mark Ford's "Cymbolic" in Opole, Poland with the UNT Percussion Ensemble. A work for 6 cymbal players dedicated to Mark Reynolds of the Sabian Cymbal Company, Cymbolic pits guests Dr. I-Jen Fang and Emily Ford (8 years old) on Chinese style cymbals against four traditional cymbal players, Nathan Siegel, Denton Sutherlin, Jacob Fullinwider and Sam Koch. All of the cymbals were made by the Sabian Cymbal Company. This premiere in the Opole Philharmonic Hall on October 20, 2023 was part of the UNT Percussion in Poland tour.
