HVAC Technician PPE VR Challenge (Unity) — Multimeter & Leak Test Training Simulation

Step into the HVAC Technician PPE VR Challenge built in Unity (C#) for VR. In this hands-on training sim, you’ll identify hazards, select the right PPE, and practice real technician tasks—multimeter testing on transformers and capacitors, plus a nitrogen pressure leak test.

What you’ll see inside

Opening Onboarding: Clear objectives, guided start, and labeled PPE on the table.

Scenario 1 — The Itchy Attic Job: Dust, tight spaces, pink insulation, low beams with nails. Choose 3 PPE: N95 respirator, gloves, headlamp.

Scenario 2 — Noisy Rooftop Unit: Loud fans, sharp panels, roof-edge awareness. Choose 4 PPE: hard hat, cut-resistant gloves, earmuffs, and the critical fall harness.

Scenario 3 — Furnace Filter Change: Basement furnace with dusty filter. Choose 2 PPE: safety glasses and work gloves (N95 optional).

Multimeter Training Station:

Transformer test: Primary ~120V, Secondary reading shown as 0.0V ⇒ diagnose and choose replace/repair.

Dual capacitor test (50 + 5µF ±6%): Measure C–HERM and C–FAN (~4.5µF) ⇒ determine good vs replace.

Leak Test with Nitrogen Pressure: Follow a realistic workflow inspired by field procedures using manifold gauges, nitrogen tank, leak spray, and marker.
