Classic EMD and GE Locomotives on the CN Iron Range

In late March 2022, I took a three day trip up to the Iron Range. was able to catch and chase quite a few ore and limestone trains with old EMD and GE locomotives still powering on.
For the first two days, I mainly stuck around the Duluth and Proctor areas, where I caught lots of various SD40s, as well as a couple other trains with more common CN power.
For the third day, I headed up to Iron Junction in hopes of getting some surviving C40-8s. Unfortunately, it was a pretty slow day with only having shot two trains. However, both trains had some great power with an orange BLE duo and a C40-8 trio.
In early may, I made a quick stop to the Two Harbors sub while in town, where I caught two C40-8 trios. I chased one of them to Highland, MN before completely losing service and had to cut the chase short.
With CN now bringing in AC44C6M rebuilds, the range is going to be changing rather quickly. I plan on making another trip up soon to catch as much as possible before the takeover begins.
