During the Nine Emperor Gods Festival at Leong Nam Temple, the troupe from 新加坡中蓮殿武英將協會 performed the traditional Ba Jiang (Eight Generals) Ceremony twice. This video captured the second performance... the Purification Ritual. This ceremony is symbolically conducted to purify and release the divine energy that had been invoked earlier.
Originating from Taiwan, the Ba Jiang tradition is performed during the Nine Emperor Gods Festival Singapore, where dedicated groups continue to preserve this ancient Taoist ritual performance.
