At approximately 04:00 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2021, Pasco County Fire Rescue received a call reporting a residential structure on fire on Wesley Chapel Loop, in Station 38's Zone located in Wesley Chapel. A deputy from Pasco Sheriff's Office and Pasco Fire Rescue's EMS 2 arrived on scene to find a single story residential with heavy fire visible from the front of the structure. Shortly after, Ladder and Rescue 38 arrived on scene as the first due companies. Ladder 38, operating as the first due engine, immediately deployed a 1.75" pre-connect hand line to the front of the structure. As Ladder 38 stretched the first line, Engine 13 arrived second due and stretched a second 1.75" line from Ladder 38. Ladder 38's firefighter and officer placed the first line into operation, beginning to darken down the fire from the exterior before quickly transitioning to an interior fire attack through the structure's front door. Ladder 38's driver and EMS 2 obtained a water supply from the hydrant located directly in front of the structure. The fire was mostly knocked down within fifteen minutes with two lines stretched. Searches of the structure appeared to come up negative, with no findings. Investigator 1 remained on scene for several hours after the fire was extinguished.
