In this video I replace the valve cover gasket in my 2012 VW Touareg with the 3.6L VR6 engine. I also do a piston soak with SeaFoam High Mileage to try and cure some minor oil consumption issues.
Volkswagen VR6 Valve Cover Torque Specs:
VW Valve Cover Bolts = 10Nm or 7.4 ft-lbs of torque
VW Intake Manifold Bolts = 13Nm or 9.6 ft-lbs of torque
Quick update: After the B12 piston soak, the oil consumption has stopped. I am now at 3000km and have barely lost any oil. If I can make it to 5k it`ll be a great improvement.
