We are back with another tutorial on Splunk. In this tutorial we will see how you can monitor the CPU, memory, disk space etc. in a Linux machine using splunk nix app.
We are going make use of nix app, which is the Splunk app for Linux and Unix for monitoring hardware and OS metrics. We will download the app from Splunkbase, install and will configure. Follow along.

cd /opt/splunk/etc/apps/Splunk_TA_nix/local/inputs.conf
create own index, map source , sourcetype in conf file.
