About the AI Leader: Langdon White is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University. Langdon comes to CDS after nearly a decade at Red Hat, Inc. where he spent most of his time as a Platform Architect. While at Red Hat, he worked on re-architecting Fedora (a Linux Distribution) for more flexibility in a containerized world (among many other things). He is a 20+ year veteran of the software industry and has spent his career prior to joining CDS working as CTO, Chief Architect, Vice President, software advocate, architect, and software engineer for both startups and Fortune 50 companies.
About the 'AI for Leaders' Online MSDS Course at Boston University: The “AI for Leaders” course series shows learners the real-world impact of AI across industries. The required module invites practitioners across varied fields to engage in a lively live-streamed conversation where students can engage and ask questions.
Topics covered include incorporating AI into a business strategy, navigating ethical and regulatory considerations, explaining AI-driven decisions to stakeholders, emerging AI technologies and their potential impacts, basic concepts of bias and fairness in AI, and privacy, covering everything from General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to personalization.
