Herstellung eines CFK-Modellflugzeug-Leitwerks in Leichtbauweise

Herstellung eines CFK-Modellflugzeug-Leitwerks in Leichtbauweise. Es handelt sich um eine sogenannte Carbon-Hartschale, ohne Stützstoff. Der Vorteil dieser Bauweise ist die schnelle und einfache Herstellung sowie eine höhere Robustheit gegenüber Sandwichlaminaten mit Schaumkern.
Die Oberfläche ist in Sichtcarbon ausgeführt.
Als klare Deckschicht wurde hierfür das R&G EP-Gelcoat farblos mit Härter GL 1 verwendet https://www.r-g.de/art/120102.
Da die Deckschicht aus Gewichtsgründen besonders dünn und leicht sein sollte, wurde das Gelcoat mit 5-10 % eines dünneren Laminierharzes (R&G Epoxidharz L + Härter GL1 https://www.r-g.de/art/10409AP) verdünnt.

Production of a CFRP model airplane tail unit in lightweight construction. This is a so-called carbon hard shell, without supporting material. The advantage of this construction method is that it is quick and easy to manufacture and is more robust than sandwich laminates with a foam core.
The surface is finished in visible carbon.

As the top layer needed to be particularly thin and light for weight reasons, the gelcoat was diluted with 5-10 % of a thinner laminating resin (R&G Epoxy Resin L + Hardener GL1 https://www.r-g.de/en/art/10409AP).
