James King was one of the greatest Heldentenors of the 20th century.....one of the greatest tenors of the 20th century!!! His Lieder singing is not so well known, and it's a great shame that the LP from which this recording comes from has never (to my knowledge) been released on CD. Die Allmacht is one of Schuberts great 'dramatic' songs which requires at times almost Wagnerian stamina from the singer. Who better to sing it then than James King! Enjoy....there's more to come!
