On June 15th, 2025, I rafted over to Tom Sawyer Island for the last time and captured a lo-fi experience with some older digital cameras. I've seen other vloggers visit Tom Sawyer Island recently and they can't stop running their mouths long enough for you to truly experience one of the best attractions at Walt Disney World. Even without the latest gadgets, the magic of Tom Sawyer Island seeps through. Soon, this area will be bulldozed and filled with "Cars" IP and cutting-edge ride technology. It might be good but it will forever change the feel of the Magic Kingdom and not be able to replace the low tech thrills of Tom Sawyer Island.
