The IMDG Code ( expanded as International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code ) was formed to enhance safe carriage of dangerous goods while facilitating the free, unrestricted movement of such goods and prevent pollution to the environment.
In this video, the Volume 1 of IMDG Code has been explained by using extracts from the Code.
The main objective of this video is that you should be aware what is given where in the IMDG Code. This is important for 2nd Mate oral examination as the surveyor might test your knowledge of the Code. The surveyor never wants that you should mug up anything from the Code, what he wants is that you should know what is given where and which part of the code to refer to find out certain information from the Code.
