This time, we decided to strip things right back – no fancy setup, no converted van – just a simple, back-to-basics van camping experience. We headed to a local wild camping spot in England that we’ve enjoyed in the past, only to find new signs, restrictions, and a firm no camping allowed policy now in place.
Why is it becoming harder and harder to enjoy wild camping in England? We share our thoughts and experiences on the increasing limitations and how it’s changing the way we travel.

So, with our plans cut short, we made a spontaneous decision to hit the road and head north for a last-minute road trip to Scotland – where freedom to roam is still very much alive.
