The story begins with Miu, Luna, Puppy, and Foxy at home when their friend, Poly the Tortoise, arrives terrified. Poly claims he cannot sleep due to a mysterious "Clattering" sound and a horrifying, giant BLACK shadow—which he believes is a Giant Centipede Monster—crawling past his window every night.
The four friends launch an investigation starting at an old Wooden Shed. They trace a streak of dampness to a heavily cracked Black Water Pipe, which seems to be the source of the persistent Clattering.
With the help of Father Milo, the mystery is solved:
The "Clattering" sound is simply water leaking from the cracked Black Water Pipe and hitting an old Iron bucket.
The terrifying BLACK shadow is explained using Shadow Science: Father Milo demonstrates how a small object (like a toy centipede or even Poly himself) placed near a bright light source creates a greatly magnified and distorted shadow on the opposite wall.
The episode concludes with Father Milo fixing the pipe and the friends helping clean up, leaving Poly the Tortoise finally able to sleep peacefully, understanding that the scary "monster" was merely an illusion of light and sound.
