Farai Engelbrecht is a South African Visual Artist, Curator and Cultural Entrepreneur based in Johannesburg. Farai Farai has taken his work all over the world and has worked alongside major brands like Diesel, Chery, Butan and more.
His bold, cubist-influenced work is defined by strong colour, psychological depth, and figures that reflect multiple emotional states at once, portraits that mirror the shared complexity of the human experience rather than imagined characters. Farai earned a full bursary to study Printmaking at the prestigious Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town, where he developed a distinct visual language and the artistic identity known as Samurai Farai.
