Mental health discussion starts at 13:22. I open up about how life has really been feeling for me lately. Even this little bit was hard to share but I know there are people out there thinking the same things, feeling the same way, but scared to voice these feelings/thoughts for fear of being labeled schizophrenic. Sadly, there can be real reasons why a person would feel targeted - because they are. Science says that specifically neurodivergent people can be singled out by neurotypical people in a malicious way due to the 'uncanny valley' theory, a subconscious sense that a person - particularly on the autism spectrum - is not behaving like a person should, and therefore threatens people's sense of normality/safety. It is a sad but true fact.
