Branding Heritage (BH) Cultural Organisation designed a multifaceted event in London dedicated to the Cretan culture entitled "Contemporary Minoans: Cretan culture, source of inspiration”, inviting distinguished academics, journalists and designers from all over the world to showcase the everlasting influence of the Minoans, Europe’s earliest advanced civilisation, on the global contemporary creation scene.

#KnossosPalace painter Yiannis Politis honoured the event with his presence and moved the audience when stating that he has been serving this monument of the first European civilisation “as a priest”, praying every day for the last 25 years to be worthy of this role.

The event held on 5.11.19 was dedicated to Sophia Kokosalaki, the renowned Greek-London based designer with Cretan origins, who passed away unexpectedly in October 2019 and was organized at the initiative of Cultural Organisation #BrandingHeritage with the support of the Region of Crete and the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) UK & Ireland, was addressed by GNTO President Angela Gerekou and Secretary-General Dimitris Fragakis, Region of Crete Commissioner for Tourism Kyriakos Kotsoglou and journalist, BH Founder Katerina Frentzou.

This event, follows-up on the successful experiential events 'Cooking like Minoans' & 'Contemporary Minoans' implemented by BH at the birthplace of Minoan culture, Crete (May 2018), in collaboration the Region of Crete, Heraklion Archaeological Museum and the Knossos Research Centre of BSA, in the presence of HRH Τhe Prince of Wales.
