Bird Photography Tour Fraser's Hill, Malaysia Sep 2019

Bird Guide: Mr. Durai (+60 13-983 1633). He is well experienced at Fraser birding and not money motivated. Trust you will have a good time birding with him.

Camera Gear:
My self & Manodaya on Nikon D500 & Nikkor 200-500mm.
Welroy on Canon 5D Mark IV & 200-400mm F4.
Better if you can carry a monopod as some of the trails are quite dark, and you may need to go for lower shutter speed. But along the main road, you have enough light.


Accomodation:
We stayed at Shahzan Inn Faser's Hill, 3 Star Hotel. Rm.230/night for 3 of us.

Travelling:
Fraser's Hill located in Pahang, which is 100km from Kuala Lumpur. If you travel early morning, it takes about 1 & 1/2 hours to reach.
You may need to make prior arrangements for transportation both ways, as there no Grab/Taxi available at Fraser's Hill. Preferably you rent a car if you dont have your own. Rm. 150-180/oneway for taxi...

Food:
Hotel Dinning is affordable (Rm 30/meal) and there's a foodcourt at the centre of the town with few convenient stores.


Best period for Birding at Fraser's Hill:
Based on the Mr. Durai, its Feb - April is the best season if it does not rain.. You may see Broadbills nesting in that season. unfortunately we didnt see any Broadbills during this tour.
