Top points you will discover:

✔️ Learn telltale signs you should look for when starting the close up inspection. See every little stitch and crack and notice patterns to look at the texture that hints at previous repainting or finishing jobs. Notice thickness and possible build-up that almost flakes off, which is not normal to what OEM leather looks like.

✔️ You can best look in between the seam on the lower cushion. Spread the seam apart, and you can see the original color right there.

✔️ Learn how to determine the original color using a color scanner and getting a recipe for the perfect match saves a lot of effort, cost, effort, and time. The closer you get to the factory color, the less paint you have to use to avoid creating a thick plastic feel.

✔️ Cleaning can help in taking some respray off, only if you get lucky. Do this in targeting spots and using a rather strong solvent.

✔️ If there's a lot of thickness to remove, the best solution is to start sanding, which may sound aggressive, but it's safe if you do it right.
