The Accidentals - Heart of Glass (Official Video)

"Back in 2020, the three of us had an idea to start compiling covers of our favorite female artists who inspire us.  This became a series called Play Your Paragon, where every Wednesday we would cover a song written or performed by a female artist or female-fronted band that inspired us. The tradition kept on throughout COVID, and pretty soon we found ourselves with 20+ covers!  At this point, there was enough demand for us to decide to compile them together and create an album.

In 2023, we decided we needed some bonus covers - some songs we'd never attempted to spice up the repertoire.  We reached out to our friend Val Haller, who runs Valslist, a platform that curates playlists to your liking.  She sent us a ton of songs, but something about Heart of Glass really spoke to us - the drive, the energy, and Debbie Harry's soaring, tongue-in-cheek vocals and general badassness she wields throughout the song.  We decided to record it live at Crooked Moon Studios, the home studio Katie and I run in Nashville.

We're excited to unveil this spicy orchestral take on one of our favorite songs from an era of badass women.  And there's more to come!" - Sav
