Hosts Tianran He and Eva May explore how Traditional Chinese Medicine turns everyday food and herbs into a way of life. At a TCM university, they learn how different foods affect the human body and try making healthy desserts like yam cakes and cooling mung bean soup. At a wellness restaurant, they get their pulses checked by a TCM doctor, leading to personalised dishes such as duck soup with lily bulbs and lotus seeds, as well as hawthorn balls. Afterwards, they visit a herbal coffee shop for lattes made with turmeric and wolfberries, before learning how to mix and match medicinal herbs and receiving traditional massages and cupping. Finally, in a countryside herb garden with friends Thomas and Hollie, they pick herbs to make tea and share a home-cooked meal that shows how good food can be just as good as medicine.
