Fred Sempala Kigozi was a Ugandan musician whose "Onkyayideki", featured on the "Kampala Sound" CD, a compilation of 1960s Uganda music. In the early 1970s, Kigozi was part of Peterson Tusubira Mutebi's "The Tames Band" before moving on to join Freddie Kanyike's Rwenzori International Band. He was the lead vocalist on many of Rwenzori's big hits. With the disbanding of Rwenzori, Kigozi teamed up with Philly Bongoley Lutaya and Frank Mbalire to form the "Blazing Beats," a short-lived affair. He would later join the mighty Afrigo Band of Moses Matovu.
