CII Unveils $600B Roadmap to Make India the World’s GCC Capital

India’s GCC (Global Capability Centre) revolution just got its biggest push ever. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has unveiled a $600B masterplan to make India the global headquarters of innovation by 2030. Today, India already hosts nearly 50% of the world’s GCCs, employing 2.2 million professionals. CII’s framework aims to triple this footprint to 5,000 centres, create up to 25 million jobs, and contribute $470–600 billion to the economy. With plans for a National GCC Council, Next-Gen Digital Economic Zones, and deep industry-academia alliances, this could cement India as the world’s ultimate innovation nerve centre.
