On a calm Monday afternoon in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, a single phone call leads police to a scene so violent it forever changes the town. Blood stains the front door of a family home, and inside investigators find Brenda Gro, her boyfriend Mark McKenzie, and Brenda’s teenage son Slade brutally beaten to death. Even more disturbing, two young children, Dylan and Shasta, are nowhere to be found.
