How do you turn Mario into a good movie? - Part 1: Creative Problems | Video Essay

With the first animated Mario movie on the horizon, I wanted to explore the question of what it would take to make a great movie adaptation of Mario.

I originally planned on spending more time on this, but when it was announced that the trailer was dropping on the 6th, I had to scramble to get this thing into a presentable state. As a result, I wasn't able to do quite as much visually as I intended to, but all of the ideas are still represented in full. I intend to continue to evolve this format in future videos.
