razputin "raz" aquato is the protagonist of the psychonauts series. he is a ten year old psychic. as of psychonauts 2, he is a newly-recruited psychonaut intern. raz is a young charismatic psychic determined to become an official recognized member of the psychonauts. he is always eager to help others and tries to see the good in everyone he meets, displaying great patience and understanding with the minds he dives into. being raised in a circus, he is a master on performing on stage. raz is an accomplished circus trapeze artist, vigorously trained in acrobatics. he can use these skills combined with his psychic powers for unique performances, such as using mental connection as a secondary means of traversal and combat. he has a willingness to learn, even from his mistakes.

lucas (pronunciation: lyoo-kuh; japanese: リュカ) is the main protagonist of mother 3. he is a resident from tazmily village. he is out of the seven main characters in total (lucas, kumatora, duster, boney, claus, flint, and salsa). he usually uses sticks and baseball bats as his primary weapons, along with his signature pk love power, which grants him the ability to pull the seven needles to awaken the dark dragon sleeping underneath the nowhere islands.

matilda wormwood, also known by her adoptive name matilda honey, is the title character of the bestselling 1988 children's novel matilda by roald dahl. she is a highly precocious six and a half year old girl who has a passion for reading books. her parents do not recognize her great intelligence and show little interest in her, particularly her father, a secondhand car dealer who verbally abuses her. she then gets adopted by mrs. honey, who has taught her at her school, who is very nice to her and does notice her intelligence. she discovers she has psychokinetic powers which she uses to her advantage.

jane "el" hopper (born jane ives), better known as eleven, is one of the main protagonists of stranger things. her character is portrayed by millie bobby brown. eleven was kidnapped and raised in hawkins national laboratory, where she was experimented on for her inherited psychokinetic abilities. after escaping the lab, she was found by mike, lucas, and dustin. upon discovering her abilities, mike believed that she could help find will, their missing friend.

shigeo kageyama (影山茂夫, kageyama shigeo), nicknamed "mob" (モブ, mobu) and "white t-poison" is a third-year student at salt middle school and vice-president of the body improvement club. he is also a former assistant and disciple of arataka reigen. as a child, shigeo learned that his psychic power was linked to his emotions. strong negative emotions can cause him to hurt others, something he strongly dislikes and avoids. therefore, he generally tries to keep his emotions in check. however, in some cases, he can control his powers, e.g. when he was at 100% courage.
