Cumbrian Hay Round-up 2024. Four traditional baling outfits filmed in both B&W & colour!

A round-up of this season’s hay making outfits in action and considering the rather poor summer weather we had up here in Cumbria with only a few weeks of good weather it was a pleasure to watch and film the haymakers in action although it was a long day driving round as it all seemed to take place on one day!
The featured outfits are a lovely MF 3070 and MF 224 baler, a 40-year old International 885XL and period IH 445 baler, bubble cab Ford 4600 again with an International baler, this time a 1970s 440 model and finally a Same Silver 110 and MF 224 baler. Ending the video is the International 475 collecting the bales to be carted back to the barn, a lovely old tractor that was a pleasure to see at work this year.
I’ve filmed some of the footage in black and white before blending it into colour to give a vintage feel so let me know what you think in the comments (good, bad or ugly!) and if I should use it again?
More compilation videos to follow in the run-up to Christmas that hopefully will cheer up the winter months with a reminder of this past summer.
