The widespread political instability in India after the death of Harshavardhana, the last independent Hindu King had inspired the foreign elements once again to attack and enter India. After the rise of Islam, the Arabs having successfully implanting it in Syria, Palestine, Egypt and Persia had cast a covetous eye on Sind. In 712 A.D. they were successful in occupying Sind.
Sindh during the early years of 8th century was ruled by Dahir. Muhammad-bin-Qasim who was probably the first Islamic ruler to have invaded India in 712 and conquered Sind.
