In our last session, we examined the syntax of FileMaker's ExecuteSQL function and wrote basic SQL queries. Now let's apply our knowledge of ExecuteSQL to present summary calculation results on dashboards and provide source data for charts. We will discuss unstored calculations as we optimize performance of our dashboards; employ the SQL functions COUNT, SUM, and MONTH, and SQL clauses JOIN, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, FETCH FIRST, and Aliases. We will also infuse our SQL queries with dynamic parameters and comparison operators, and use the new While function for looping logic in a formula.
