What is Earned Leave(EL)? As the name suggests, earned leaves(EL) are the leaves earned by the employee for providing more than 300 days of service to the employer in a given calendar year. These leaves can be used for encashment of EL. The maximum amount of Earned Leave that can be granted to a member of the staff at a time shall be 180 days. viii. EL may be taken at a time up to 300 days as leave preparatory to retirement. CCS (Leave) rules, 1972 are applicable to Central Govt employees except contract employees, part time, daily wager IAS& Railway employees. in this video i have just given brief introduction of Earned leave. in the next videos i will explain other kind of leave in detail.these videos may be helpful for
