Finite Element simulation of a network of trusses

This animation shows the solution obtained with the Open Source Finite Element code PETSc-FEM (http://www.cimec.org.ar/petscfem) to the movement of a network of trusses. In this case the nodes at the bottom of the network are imposed to perform harmonic motion in time rotating around the axis of the structure bu at higher frequency than in    • Finite Element simulation of a network of ...   so that there are 1.5 wavelengths in the length of the structure.
