Here is a husbandry video for my T. ockerti. I only "discovered" this species after being sent a sling as a special freebie from Jamie's Tarantulas. Since then, I picked up this juvenile, who has molted twice in my care. This beautiful and unique species has quickly become a favorite.
There has been a LOT of discussion about whether this species is terrestrial, arboreal, or semi-arboreal. In the wild, they have been observed living in short shrubs or part way up trees, and although built like terrestrials, they tend to hang out off the ground in their enclosures. Therefore, I'm providing mine with an arboreal setup. It seems quite comfortable in this enclosure.
