Welcoming the Bengali New Year: Pohela Boishakh Celebrations at Sunnydale
Pohela Boishakh, marking the first day of the Bengali calendar, is one of the most cherished cultural festivals in Bangladesh. Sunnydale embraces this tradition wholeheartedly across all five of its sections. Students of all ages, backgrounds, and classes take part in the festivities on their respective campuses with great enthusiasm.
At Sunnydale Senior School, the Bengali New Year was joyously celebrated through a vibrant Baishakhi Mela. The event featured a variety of student-run stalls offering mouth-watering delicacies, handmade crafts, ornaments, plants, and stationeries. Dressed in colorful traditional attire, students brought the day to life with energy, laughter, and celebration.
It was truly a day filled with culture, joy, and unforgettable memories!
