My first real day of fishing since 13th February and I took myself to the Gress Angling Association water on the Isle of Lewis for a sea trout. Unlike the rest of the country Lewis had been almost bone dry for the best part of 2 months but there was a small amount of rain overnight giving the river a little rise. I had a great day out and had a few finnock from the tidal area of the river, and one that I decided just made it as a sea trout but opinions will vary I'm sure. I also lost a sea trout, maybe 1.5lb or better, from one of the upper pools on the river. More importantly tea was made.
