Blends Song by Jack Hartmann demonstrates how two consonant letters work together to form an initial consonant blend.

I say each consonant letter sound and then blend them together to form the initial consonant blend. As I make the consonant blend I say each letter sound clearly and distinctly. The initial blend is then shown with a word and a simple realistic image to further enhance visual learning.

Use this song over and over again to help your children strengthen their phonological awareness and fluency skills.
