The Star Wars underworld is made up of thousands of criminal organizations. Five of them are considered amongst the most dangerous and powerful. These organizations are simply referred to as the "Five Syndicates". They are the Hutt Cartel, Black Sun, Crimson Dawn, the Pyke Syndicate, and the Crymorah Syndicate. This video gives a brief summary of each, and then notes which criminal organizations were considered to be their replacements late into the New Republic era based on the Smuggler's Guide in-universe reference book.
